Sri Lankan rights activists say an imprisoned Tamil suspect has died from injuries sustained when he was beaten by guards following a revolt in the prison.
Activists for Human Rights spokesman Udul Premaratne says 34-year-old Mariadas Dilrukshan died at a government hospital early Wednesday after being injured in a prison revolt in June in the northern town of Vavuniya.
Last month, Ganesh Nimalaruban, another rebel suspect died from injuries in the same incident.
