Boycott Day – Campaign for Sri Lanka Boycott

On December 15th, and 16th  2012 consumers and human rights activists in USA  and Canada  plan to stage protests in front of clothing outlets to warn holiday shoppers to check the label and boycott products made in Sri Lanka. Protesters in many major US cities and Canada  will picket outside GAP and Victoria’s Secret stores advocating for human rights and bringing to attention that money spent on Sri Lankan made clothing helps fund the Genocidal war on the Tamil people in the island. Mean while in Chennai, India the activists are going to urge the travel agents selling tour packages to Sri Lanka discontinue their effort in order to stem the flow of funds to the genocidal Sri Lankan armed forces. They plan to protest outside some of these travel agencies and also bring awareness among the public near the popular tourist hotspot of Marina Beach.
