Charles Gnanakone, who was wrongly accused by Sri Lankan government in the killing of Sri Lankan foreign affairs minister Lakshman Kadirgamar, has died in Australia.

His death occurred on July 25, according to reports.

He was arrested at Mt. Lavinia on 10 October 2005 over minister Kadirgamar’s murder.
