UNP general secretary Tissa Attanayake says indications are that the Sri Lanka’s economy is on the verge of collapse.

Speaking to the media today (July 10), he said the per capita debt stood at Rs. 250,000, while state debt had surpassed Rs. 5,000 billion.

He questioned the Central Bank over the Rs. 3,400 million lost to the country after being invested on Greek bonds.

Mr. Attanayake compared it to an investment made in the institution run by fraudster Sakvithi Ranasinghe.
