Quebec’s The Masked Avengers claimed that it took them less than an hour and around a dozen phone calls to reach the UN chief during the General Assembly on Wednesday.
Ban was in between one of his 120 meetings this session with world leaders when he received a call from what he believed to be Harper. During the five-minute conversation, the impostor PM has apologized to the general secretary for not attending the UN General Assembly as he was too busy combing his hair with superglue.
Sébastien Trudel and Marc-Antoine Audette of Montreal also asked Ban to speak with National Hockey League Commissioner in an effort to return Quebec City’s hockey team from Colorado. Apparently it was at this point in the conversation that Ban noticed something suspicious, as he asked, “Excuse me, am I speaking with Prime Minister Harper right now?”
His spokesman said: “The Secretary-General quickly understood that it was a prank, and he took it in the way that it was intended, as a joke. It’s a busy time of year, and the Secretary-General has a considerable amount to do, so it wasn’t the best use of his time, but these things happen.”
Funnily enough, The Masked Avengers also pranked Harper this Friday by pretending to be Francois Legault, the leader of Quebec’s Coalition party.
Back in 2008, Sarah Palin fell victim to the duo after accepting an invitation to hunt baby seals by a phony French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Other victims of the two include Donald Trump, Bill Gates and Mick Jagger. (RT News).
