The South Africa has requested the Sri Lankan government to implement recommendations in the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission report expeditiously. This has been stated by the Deputy Minister of South Africa for International Affairs Mr. Iberahim Ibrahim addressing the 22nd session of the UN Human Rights Council Sessions started in Geneva on My (25).

He has said that the government should focus more attention on establishing unity. He has further stated that the government should present acceptable and credible solutions to the problems of the Tamil people.

Meanwhile Britain has also emphasized that it is compulsory to implement the final recommendations of the report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission.
