Academic activities at Jaffna University are still to resume following a class boycott by students to protest the arrest of their colleagues, Colombo media. Dr. M. Sivadasan of the university’s teachers association said he had been told by the defence secretary the four arrested students are being rehabilitated at Welikanda camp. He has told BBC Sandeshaya that the students had been told sit for exams at the camp, but they had rejected it as they had no conducive atmosphere to do so. The TNA has described the detention of the students as illegal and has demanded their immediate release.]]>
