Over 160Â Tamils have been arrested in Jaffna and Kankesanthurai (KKS) in a special operation conducted by the Sri Lankan police last week, reports from Jaffna said.
All those arrested have been produced before a Magistrate and charged.
According to the police in Jaffna, 163 people were arrested in the search operation on suspicion.
Of those arrested last week, 24 people were arrested on suspicion.
