The office building of Janatha Party Leader, Subramaniam Swamy, was attacked by the Madurai Law College students yesterday, for his support to Lankan President and war criminal Mahinda Rajapaksa, informed sources said.
According to reports from Madurai, Swamy was not harmed in the attack on his office, which is situated at Sokkikulam in Madurai.
The name board of the office was damaged and eyewitnesses said there were around 35 students from the Madurai Law College involved in the attack.
Police had rushed to the scene and dispersed the students, who chanted slogans against the Janatha Party Leader and the Sri Lankan Government.
Swamy was in Colombo on 28 February and met Rajapaksa and Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, to discuss the issues related to the UNHRC sessions in Geneva.
Rajapaksa and Gota are responsible for more than hundred thousands of Tamil civilians in Vanni in 2009.
